Knowledge is only worthwhile through sharing

In order to make scientific knowledge and best agricultural practices available to all farmers, Al Moutmir provides diversified outreach channels. The initiative offers interactive multimedia supports on social networks through a dedicated Facebook page, a YouTube channel, a call center and radio programs that broadcast in real-time “Sewlouna Njaouboukoum” sessions, during which experts answer farmers' questions. In addition, Al Moutmir YouTube channel broadcasts outreach videos animated by farmers who share their best agricultural practices.

Encourage Peer to Peer Communication

Encourage Peer to Peer Communication

Al Moutmir initiated with voluntary farmers a series of videos called "Min Ila Al Fallah". In each video, a farmer shares with his peers agricultural practices learned thanks to the support of Al Moutmir team.
These videos, being in Darija, Moroccan Arabic, and coming from the farmer, are a great success. They facilitate peer-to-peer learning and foster the adoption of best farming practices. Broadcasted on Al Moutmir YouTube channel and relayed on Facebook, these videos enlarge the scope of agricultural extension.

When OCP mobilizes its collaborators to serve rural communities

a4c

Al Moutmir is supported by volunteering OCP collaborators working within the Act4Community initiative. In 2016, OCP launched this citizens initiative to encourage volunteering among its collaborators to better serve communities. Several collaborators are daily mobilized alongside the Al Moumir team to better support farmers in different localities. Each volunteer provides support based on a scientific framework and the support of Al Moutmir team located in his/her province. In a short time, OCP collaborators have launched several initiatives: training sessions, field support, mechanization offers, monitoring and advice. Hence, the community acting for farmers keeps growing  and the interest in development and the transformation of agriculture is growing more and more. This shows everyone’s will to make themselves useful to the community and to help farmers, especially the small holders, to meet the challenges of the sector and to project themselves towards a better tomorrow.
